Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026 · Version 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how Motheo Inc. ("Motheo", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Motheo website (the "Site") and the Motheo platform (the "Platform"). It supplements the Motheo Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Related technologies include local storage, which stores data in your browser, and session tokens, which identify a signed-in user for the duration of a session. We use the word "cookies" in this Policy to cover all of these.
2. What We Use, and Why
We keep this deliberately narrow. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing pixels anywhere on the Site or the Platform.
| Category | Purpose | Can you refuse it? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps a signed-in session active, protects forms against cross-site request forgery, balances traffic across servers, and remembers security state | No. Without these the Platform cannot sign you in or protect your session. |
| Functional | Remembers interface choices such as theme, table density, or a dismissed notice | Yes, at the cost of resetting those choices on each visit |
| Performance and error diagnosis | Aggregated timing and error data used to find faults and slow pages | Yes |
If we later add product analytics or any measurement tool that sets cookies, we will update this Policy, list the tool below, and request consent before it runs.
3. Named Cookies and Similar Technologies
| Name or type | Set by | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session token | Motheo | Strictly necessary | Session, or until sign-out |
| CSRF token | Motheo | Strictly necessary | Session |
| Preference store (local storage) | Motheo | Functional | Until cleared by you |
| Hosting and delivery cookies | Our hosting provider | Strictly necessary | Session to 12 months |
Durations are typical values and may vary slightly by browser and configuration.
4. Third-Party Cookies
The Site does not run third-party advertising or social media tracking scripts. Some cookies may be set by the infrastructure providers that host and deliver the Site, for routing, security, and abuse prevention. If you enable an integration inside the Platform, such as accounting software or document storage, that provider may set cookies during the connection flow under its own policy.
5. Managing Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block cookies from specific sites or all sites. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the Platform and may break parts of the Site.
We honour the reduced motion and other accessibility preferences your browser reports, and we do not require cookies to read the public pages of the Site.
6. Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors across sites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. We do not respond to those signals differently.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Site and the Platform change. The "Last Updated" date and version above record the most recent revision.
